Question 1

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Nothing during the beta: every feature is free and no card is needed. A paid version will come later; everyone who signs up and uses Nominal during the beta gets 3 months free after it starts. We will tell you in advance, and nothing is charged without your consent.

Question 2

How long does it take to set up?

Accepted Answer

A few minutes. Add a bond by its code (ISIN), or connect Monobank and the purchases are found in the statement by themselves.

Question 3

My bonds are in another bank or with a broker. Will it work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any bond is added by its ISIN and its schedule comes from NBU, wherever you bought it. Checking payments against the statement works with Monobank for now.

Question 4

Is it safe to give a Monobank token?

Accepted Answer

The personal Monobank token only allows reading the statement; payments are impossible with it. It is stored encrypted, and you can revoke it in Monobank at any time. Or do without it: upload a statement file.

Question 5

Where do the numbers come from, and how accurate are they?

Accepted Answer

Schedules are NBU's own data, refreshed every hour; purchases come from your statement or are entered by hand; dollar and euro payments count at the NBU rate on their date. The annual return is XIRR: it weighs when each hryvnia went in and came back. When an expected payment is not in your statement, Nominal flags it instead of guessing.

Question 6

Can Номінал buy or sell bonds?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a tracker: it only reads data and never moves money. You buy bonds in your bank or with your broker.

Question 7

What happens to my data?

Accepted Answer

It is used only to show your portfolio. You can download all of it or delete the account with everything in it in one click.

Question 8

Which bonds are supported?

Accepted Answer

Ukrainian government bonds (OVDP) in hryvnia, dollars and euros: the schedule comes from NBU. Any other bond can be entered by hand.

How much will your next OVDP coupon bring?
